Comprehensively endowed with pro features, the Gates EX1 Housing is engineered for the discriminating professional. Adjustable handles provide perfect grip and fingertip access to over 20 different functions. **Flexible trim weights allow for ideal buoyancy and trim. Precision ports and optional EM43 high resolution monitor afford the sharpest HD images.
 The SXS cards and battery can be replaced without removing the camera from the housing. Just remove the back of the housing and the cards and batteries are easily accessed. (Pictured to the left)
**Gates has employed 4 and 8 oz trim weights on the EX1 housing that can be added/removed as needed for just the right buoyancy. Remove them as you add lights/monitor/tripod/etc. You can even move them forward/aft for trim, and top/bottom if you desire for changing the center of gravity. It's intended to be very flexible and configurable.
The Gates EX1 now has a vastly improved camera tray. No more tools required to mount the camera, and the tray locks into place with two rotating latches. Slick and easy. This feature is pictured to the right. The top picture shows the locking mechanism in the open position and the bottom picture shows the mechanism locked in place.
The camera mount plate also has two alignment brackets at the back of the plate and the housing has an alignment collar mounted in the front of the housing. This ensures that your camera will always be aligned correctly.
This housing is compatible with many Gates accessories, including the Gates Tripod and Seal Check System. The Seal Check System allows you to verify the integrity of your housing prior to placing it in the water.
