Gates Video Housings

The Gates 3700 underwater video housing for the Pansonic AJ-HPX3700 and AJ-HPX2700 Varicam is available for ordering now. This housing is a semi-custom design, meaning that the final housing will be based on customers specifications.

The Gates EX1R Underwater Video Housing is compatible with the Sony PMW-EX1 Camcorder.

The Gates HF S10, S11 / HF S100 Underwater Video Housing will begin shipping in the beginning of November 2009. Gates has designed this housing so that the Canon remote is placed inside the housing and is easily accessed via mechanical controls. All menu functions, including white balance are accessible.

The Gates XR520V/500V Underwater Video Housing has controls for Power, Mode, (Video/Photo), Zoom, Record/Standby, Internal "Flip" Filter, Photo, Assign Button and Roller and White Bal / Tele Macro (via touch screen). As always with Gates housings, this housing is constructed of machined aluminum and is rated to 450ft.

The Gates EX1 Underwater Video Housing is designed for the Sony PMW-EX1 high definition camcorder.The EX1 is classic Gates heritage: durable, bulletproof, machined aluminum, 100% reliable mechanical controls and 2 year renewable warranty.
Flip-in Diopter set included with all Gates EX1 housings ordered with a SP44 Standard Port.

The Gates HC7-HC9 Underwater Video Housing is compatible with the Sony HDR-HC5, HDR-HC7 and HDR-HC9.
This housing has controls for On/Off, Record, Standby, Zoom, photo and assign. An optional control for white balance and Tele Macro is also available.
The LCD screen is open and viewable on this housing. This will eliminate the need for an external monitor.

The Gates FX7/V1 Underwater Video Housing is compatible with the Sony HDR-FX7 and HVR-V1U and features controls for Power On/Off, Record/Standby, Zoom, Manual Focus Auto / Manual Focus, Iris, Internal "Flip" Color Correction Filter, Neutral Density Filter, Expanded Focus, Gain, Shutter Speed and White Balance.

The Gates HVX200 Underwater Video Housing comes standard with adjustable handles, which allows the user to adjust the handling of the housing to fit their personal preference and comfort. These handles provide perfect grip and easy access to critical functions like white balance, iris, manual focus and user presets.

The Gates Seal Check represents the next level in Gates legendary reliability by allowing confirmation of housing integrity before entering the water

The Gates FX1/Z1 Underwater Video Housing is designed for the Sony HDR-FX1 and HVR-Z1U and features all mechanical, fingertip controls, which are easily accessible and control important functions like iris, white balance and manual focus. Optional controls are available, which allow control of gain/wb presets, shutter speed and expanded focus.

The Gates XLH1/H1s Underwater Video Housing has controls for many important camera functions.
Adjustable handles and a 2.5" external monitor are standard equipment and options like HD-SDI output are also available.

The Gates HC3 Underwater Video Housing features controls for On/OFF, Record, Standby, Zoom, Photo, an internal flip filter, and access to the "assign" button. The assign button can be set to control focus, exposure, or white balance shift.
The LCD screen is open and viewable from the back of the housing. This will eliminate the need for an external monitor. Zoom control is accessed via the side of the LCD screen.

With a 2" X 3" LCD view window there is no need for an external monitor. This window allows you to operate the camera with the cameras LCD screen open.

This housing is packed full of standard features that will satisfy even the most demanding underwater videographer. Along with the standard functions of power on/off, record/standby, zoom and photo, important functions such as, auto/manual focus, Manual Iris and white balance are also available.
